On the OME Configuration dashboard, clicking Update Agent successfully updates the agent, but the Agent Version dialog does not close.

Upgrade and compatibility

Upgrade and compatibility

Developed for Foglight Management Server 5.7.5, Foglight Integration for OpenManage Essentials is compatible for use with Foglight for Virtualization Enterprise Edition 8.4 and requires Foglight for VMware 5.7.0.

Use the latest version of OpenManage Essentials, version 2.1.

Note: Foglight Integration for OpenManage Essentials supports discovering ESXi servers directly, but the discovery of ESXi servers via iDRAC is not supported.

 

To upgrade from version 5.6.16 of Foglight Integration for OpenManage Essentials:

  • On the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, install the .car file. Do not remove the older version of this cartridge. Install version 5.7.0 over the older version. For complete information, see the Installing the Foglight Upgrade Guide.
