Always On

It includes three separated collections: Always On Cluster General, Always On Cluster Members, and Always On Cluster Network.

SQL Server.

Real-time

20

Online

60

Offline

300

Collecting SQL Server Always On Cluster Configuration.

Cluster Name

Name of the WSFC cluster that hosts the instances of SQL Server that are enabled for AlwaysOn Availability Groups.

Quorum Type

Description of quorum_type, one of: NODE_MAJORITY, NODE_AND_DISK_MAJORITY, NODE_AND_FILE_SHARE_MAJORITY,NO_MAJORITY:_DISK_ONLY

Quorum State

State of the WSFC quorum, one of:

0 = Unknown quorum state

1 = Normal quorum

2 = Forced quorum

Member Name

Member name, which can be a computer name, a drive letter, or a file share path.

Member Type

The type of member, one of:

0 = WSFC node

1 = Disk witness

2 = File share witness

Collecting SQL Server Cluster Members Configuration.

Member Name

Member name, which can be a computer name, a drive letter, or a file share path.

Member Type

The type of member, one of:

0 = WSFC node

1 = Disk witness

2 = File share witness

Member State

The member state, one of: 0 = Offline, 1 = Online

Network Subnet IP

Network IP address of the subnet to which the computer belongs. This can be an IPv4 or IPv6 address.

Collecting SQL ServerCluster Network Configuration.

Member Name

A computer name of a node in the WSFC cluster.

Network Subnet IP

Network IP address of the subnet to which the computer belongs. This can be an IPv4 or IPv6 address

Network Subnet IPv4 Mask

The network subnet mask that specifies the subnet to which the IP address belongs.

NULL = IPv6 subnet.

Network Subnet Prefix Length

Network IP prefix length that specifies the subnet to which the computer belongs.

Is Public

Whether the network is private or public on the WSFC cluster, one of:

0 = Private

1 = Public

Is IPv4

Type of the subnet, one of:

1 = IPv4

0 = IPv6

Availability Groups

It collects SQL Server Availability Groups.

SQL Server.

Availability Group Name

Name of the availability group. This is a user-specified name that must be unique within the Windows Server Failover Cluster (WSFC) cluster.

Availability Group ID

Unique identifier (GUID) of the availability group.

Ag Resource ID

Unique ID of the availability group as a resource in the WSFC cluster.

Ag Databases Group ID

Unique WSFC databases Group ID of the availability group.

Primary Replica

Name of the server instance that is hosting the current primary replica.

NULL = Not the primary replica, or, unable to communicate with the WSFC failover cluster.

Primary Recovery Health

Indicates the recovery health of the primary replica, one of:

0 = In progress

1 = Online

NULL

Secondary Recovery Health

Indicates the recovery health of a secondary replica, one of:

0 = In progress

1 = Online

NULL

Synchronization Health

One of:

0 = Not healthy

1 = Partially healthy

2 = Healthy

This metric summarizes the synchronization status of all replicas in the availability group:

• Healthy if all replicas are fully synchronized.

• Partially healthy if only some of the replicas are fully synchronized.

• Not healthy if no replica is fully synchronized.

Failure Condition Level

0 - No automatic failover or restart;

1 - Failover or restart on server down;

2 - Failover or restart on server unresponsive;

3 - Failover or restart on critical server errors;

4 - Failover or restart on moderate server errors;

5 - Failover or restart on any qualified failure conditions.

Health Check Timeout

Availability Group health check timeout in milliseconds.

Automated Backup Preference

At an availability group level, specify whether backups should or should not run on the primary replica.

The possible preferences for where backups should run are as follows:

0 - PRIMARY - Only on the primary replica - Backups should always occur on the primary replica.

1 - SECONDARY_ONLY - Performing backups on a secondary replica is preferable.

2 - SECONDARY - Performing backups on a secondary replica preferable, but performing backups on the primary replica is acceptable if no secondary replica is available for backup operations. This is the default behavior.

3 - NONE - No preference about whether backups are performed on the primary replica or on a secondary replica.

Backup Locations

The collection shows drives or shares for backup locations.

SQL Server.

Offline

Member Name

The total free space of the backup media.

Error Message

It indicates that there has been an error, which trying to reach media for inspection.

Media Used Space

The total used space on the media.

Media Free Percentage

The percentage of free space out of the total size of the media.

Media Used Percentage

The percentage of the used space our of the total size of the media.

Blocking History

This collection retrieves the hierarchical tree of all sessions involved in the blocking process. The hierarchical tree is based on snapshots taken at a predefined interval.

SQL Server.

Blocked

The total number of all blocked sessions.

Blocked by

The session that is currently blocking the selected session.

Blocked Time

Total wait time spent by all blocked sessions.

Command

The current or previous command executed.

CPU

The total amount of CPU consumed so far by the session. This metric can be useful when deciding which sessions to kill.

Database

The name of the database.

Host Name

The name of the client computer.

Lock Type

The type of the resource that is currently locked (Database, Table, Page, Row, Extent, and so on).

Locking

The unique session number for the session that either owns or requests the lock.

Login Time

The time that the session was created.

Mode

The kind of lock being applied to the resource (Shared, Exclusive, Update, IntentShared, IntenExclusive and so on).

OS User

Windows user name for a session that uses Windows Authentication.

Physical IO

The total amount of I/O operations carried out so far by the session. This metric can be useful when deciding which sessions to kill.

Program

The name of the application that the user is currently running (for example, Microsoft Access).

Request Status

Resource

The resource that is in conflict. This metric often identifies a database and table.

The data in the Resource column is reported directly from SQL Server and, for performance reasons, is not resolved to actual resource names during normal data collection.

SQL Text

Displays the SQL text of the session that is blocked and/or blocking.

SQL User

The SQL Server user login name for this session.

Status

The status of the session (Blocked, Blocking or both). For sessions at the head of the blocking chain (those that are not blocked), this metric also indicates if the session is Runnable or Sleeping.

Type

The type of the lock request that is waiting (for example: Database, Table, Page, Row, Key, and Extent).

Wait Time

Indicates how long this session has been waiting for the lock (measured in seconds). This shows 0 if the session is not waiting.
