Welcome to Foglight for Azure SQL Database

Foglight® for Azure SQL Database allows DBAs to quickly and efficiently identify performance deviations, determine their root cause, perform comprehensive analyses, and resolve performance bottlenecks. The product provides web-enabled dashboards for centralized visibility, management and health checks for the Azure SQL Database deployed in your environment, as well as proactive alerting and alarm workflows for tracking your responses to critical performance anomalies.

Foglight for Azure SQL Database is an n-tier application, which leverages a web-based user interface to ensure having complete visibility into the Azure SQL Database infrastructure wherever an Internet connection is available.

 

These Release Notes cover the known issues, workarounds, and other important information about 5.9.5.10 release of Foglight for Azure SQL Database. Review all sections before starting installation.

New in this release

Foglight for Azure SQL DB monitors the Azure SQL Database activity by connecting to and querying the database. Version 5.9.5.10 of Foglight for Azure SQL Database contains the following main features and functions: 

  • Overview page provides general information on the monitored database, including Availability, HA/DR, Storage, Alarms, Top 10 SQLs, Compute Utilization, Memory, and Database Performance.

  • Database Administration allows users to configure settings (Alarms and Connection Details) on one or multiple Azure SQL Database.

  • Blocking and Sessions pages display real-time user activities.
