You can use the Scan method to query all backups stored on a disk-based storage device and import those backups that are not indexed in the given NetVault Server’s database.

In the Navigation pane, click Manage Devices. In the list of devices, locate and click the device. |

If NetVault fails to remove the device, select the Force Removal check box in the confirmation dialog, and click OK. |
NOTE: You can use the Force Removal option to remove a device that is not in use. However, the device may still try to communicate with the NetVault Server. |
