Calendar information synchronization settings

To support Exchange 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016 deployments, Calendar information synchronization has been implemented in Collaboration Services.

Calendar Details data is stored in the users' mailboxes and not in the central location as with free/busy information. Free/busy information is stored in public folders and Exchange 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016 deployments may not have public folders.

Scan frequency

Use the General page to adjust the frequency of scanning for updates and applying changes:

Scheduling

To avoid excessive load on the Exchange server during production hours, schedule Collaboration Services access to the Calendar information for the least busy time periods.

On the Scheduling page, select the Use Calendar access scheduling check box.
