1. Stop the Core Services on the Core.
- Make sure there are no jobs running on your Rapid Recovery Core.
- Open Task Manager, select the Services tab, and click Services….
- Select Quest Rapid Recovery Core Services and click Stop.
3. COPY all content from the original repository to a predetermined location. You should ensure that the 7 repository files were copied to the new path location. These 7 files are:
- dfs.bmap
- dfs.mbr
- dfs.record_ids
- dfs.records
- dfs.rmap
- AppRecoveryCoreConfigurationBackup.xml
- repositories_xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx. Xml
Note: Please Include metadata files 4. Open the registry editor on the Target Core and browse to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and select
Software.
5. Select
AppRecovery and click
Core and expand Repositories.
6. Locate the repository ID you wish to move and expand until you get to Specification
- For example: “(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AppRecovery\Core\Repositories\14642daa-a07c-47de-bc6c-0106a6450c90\FileConfigurations\0\Specification)
7. Modify the Data and Metadata Path to point to the new repository path.
8. Start the Quest Rapid Recovery Core Services.
9. Monitor that the Repository can successfully mount.
10. Monitor that the jobs are working as expected before doing any changes to the original Repository files.
