Email alerts are being sent from database agent alarms even though no or different email recipients are configured in the assigned Alarm Template Notification Channel.
In some cases, alarms that appear disabled in the Alarms panel of the Database Agent Administration dashboard may still be sending notifications.
This occurs because registry variables with email addresses are created when users configure alarms in the Database Agent Administration panel. These settings can override the Alarm Template behavior.
Background:
The Database Agent Alarm Administration panel was <>deprecated in Foglight 6.1.
Its functionality has been replaced by Alarm Templates.
The panel remains available only for backward compatibility.
A user manually set default or individual alarm email addresses using the deprecated alarm configuration panel. This creates _NotificationSettings registry variables, which override Alarm Template behavior.
