Enforcing scripting in Public Folders and Shared Mailboxes via Group Policy (4300169)

Users have access to other mailboxes or public folders which contain archived messages

When attempting to open an archived message in a shared mailbox or public folders the user is unable to see attachments

When attempting to open an archived message in a shared mailbox or public folders the bottom of the message window indicates a problem with Outlook forms

1. Create a new policy or edit an existing policy to open the Group Policy Management Editor.

   

2. Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Microsoft Outlook (version) > Outlook Options > Other > Advanced.
3. For shared folders, disable the "Do not allow Outlook object model scripts to be run for shared folders" option.

   

4. For public folders, disable the "Do not allow Outlook object model scripts to be run for public folders".
5. Exit the Group Policy Editor and the new policy should be ready to go.
