How to disable or prevent Toad from auto formatting source codes or DDL scripts in the Schema Browser or Editor?
RESOLUTION 1:
Go to View Menu | Toad Options | Editor | Open/Save | and check (ON) or un-check (OFF) "Format files when opened" option.
RESOLUTION 2:
While in Schema Browser | <object> | Scripts Tab, click on the "View/Edit Script Options" icon within the Script Tab.
Under the "Common" tab, uncheck the options under "Formatting" section.
There may also be another tab (i.e. Views), under there, uncheck the option "Format".
*Note, depending on the type of <object> selected in the schema browser, the script tab's edit window may have different tabs and options listed.
RESOLUTION 3:
If you are using Export DDL feature (Database Menu | Export), go to the Script Options Tab | uncheck the boxes under "Formatting"section.
