Get the error from Microsoft Data Link (UDL) test:
"Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. Client unable to establish connection."
OR
"Failed to login to SQL Server" when executing 'master.dbo.xp_sqllitespeed_version' in Query Analyzer.
This may happen after applying Windows patch. -

MDAC corruption.

Lösung
RESOLUTION 1:
Reboot server.
RESOLUTION 2:
Check SQL Server version under ODBC DATA SOURCE ADMIN. (See attachment for screenshot)
Re-install MDAC. -
