Azure SQL DBSS_Azure_Database_Recommendations collection and Permissions Check fails in Foglight 5.9.8 and lower
Beschreibung
DBSS_Azure_Database_Recommendations collection and Permissions check are failing when compatibility level is set as 100 or lower (SQL Server 2008) in an Azure SQL database.

The following collections fail for the Azure SQL agent
- Blocking Current dashboard metrics
- SQL PI
- Unable to check the privileges for the Azure user
Ursache

SQL Server 2008 compatibility level below 100 will cause problems with the collections.
Lösung

WORKAROUND 1

Increase the compatibility level higher than 120.

Compatibility levels of 120 and below do not technically meet the requirements listed in the Deployment Guide because it effectively turns the Azure instance into a version below Azure v12.

WORKAROUND 2

Please contact Support for a hotfix for this issue for when compatibility level is set to SQL Server 2008 (100)

STATUS

This issue has was logged as defect FOG-1575 and has been fixed in the 6.0.0.10 version of the Azure SQL cartridge for Foglight.
