erwin Data Modeler MIMB Bridge import error - no internet connection (4371997)

erwin Data Modeler's import from external format results in error.
ERROR: Unable to reach http://insecure.repo1.maven.org/maven2/ and https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/. Please make sure that access to the internet is available and proxy settings are correct.
 

MIMB Bridge needs to download jar files to the user's machine. This error indicates the system can't reach  http://insecure.repo1.maven.org/maven2/ nor https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/ 

Option 1.

Enable internet access to  http://insecure.repo1.maven.org/maven2/ and https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/ 

Option 2.

Use a system that can reach the aforementioned websites and the Third-Party Software included with erwin DM installation to download all the files locally, then copy them to the system that can't reach the websites.

Steps to download and extract:

1. Open the command line tool in windows
2. Run the mimb.bat batch from your erwin DM install folder.
   1. Version 12 (default). C:\Program Files\erwin\Data Modeler r9\MetaIntegration\bin>mimb.bat -d
   2. Version 14 and 15 (default). C:\Program Files\erwin\Data Modeler r10\MetaIntegration\bin>mimb.bat -d
3. The files are downloaded generating file MIMB-ThirdParty-Patch-xxx-xxxxx..zip in C:\Program Files\erwin\Data Modeler [r9/r10]\MetaIntegration\
4. Copy zip to target system and extract to user profile directory %temp%\MetaIntegration\data\download\MIMB\
5. Try the import again
