After installing the Archive Manager website on a new server, users are unable to open any attachments that are stored in Centera. There is a red X displayed at the top right of the message rather than a green check mark as well.
The PEA file that is used to access Centera must be present on the new web server. Here are the steps to test / resolve:
- Go to the SQL server that houses the ArchiveManager database.
- Using SQL Server Management Studio, open Databases > ArchiveManager > Tables > dbo.StorageLocation.
- In this table you will see a Connection String for Centera which will consist of the IP (or multiple IP's) for the Centera device(s) followed by a path to the PEA file. This path must exist on all servers that intend to connect to Centera such as the Archive Manager services server and the Archive Manager web server. Example, if the path is D:\Centera\ArchiveManager.PEA then this drive and directory must exist on all Archive Manager servers and the PEA file must also exist this the directory.
- Copy the PEA file from the old webserver (or the services server) to the new web server in the path mentioned in the dbo.StorageLocation table.
- Perform an IISRESET
If you no longer have access to your PEA file, you can generate a new one from Centera.
