On machines with low resources, the Full Text Index (FTI) can take all the processing power and slow down Archive Manager for the End Users.
The machine running Archive Manager is not good enough to handle the load.
Until the machine is upgraded, setting the FTI to run out of hours may be of benefit.
1. Open Archive Manager Configuration Editor
2. Click General Items
3. Add Item | Full Text Index Start Time
4. Add Item | Full Text Index End Time
5. Set these in 24 hour clock format eg Full Text Index Start Time 18:30 Full Text Index End Time 07:00
This would mean the FTI starts processing at 6:30pm and stops at 7am the next morning.
The service needs to be left running the whole time but it will only take up processing power during the time specified.
Enhancement Request ST98905 has been raised to allow FTI processing full over weekends despite setting the Start Time and End Time.
