After applying Archive Manager 188.8.131.52 or 3.6.1, the following symptoms might occur:
1. High memory usage by the ESM process
2. Errors in the event log on the Exchange Server showing the symptoms in these Microsoft KB articles. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/830829 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830836
3. The ESM stopping mailbox processing without restarting
This will have no adverse affect on Exchange. The KB articles above show errors that are the Exchange response to a client attempting to open an excessive number of connections and that Exchange has blocked the client.
Schedule a periodic restart of the ESM service.
