Adding an AD group to NetVault Backup Server

An AD NetVault Backup user with administrative privileges must add AD groups to the NetVault Backup Server before they can be viewed, updated, or deleted by a local NetVault Backup Administrator.

On the Manage User and Group Accounts page, select Groups tab, a list of existing groups added in NetVault Backup server are displayed.
If you have the Users — Administer user accounts privilege, you see a list of all available AD groups that you can add to NetVault Backup.

To update membership information, click Client and media group memberships.
On the Editing User Group Memberships page, update the applicable information.
On the Editing Privilege and Quota Settings for User Group page, update the applicable information.
On the Editing Notification Profile for User Group page, update the applicable information.

Viewing a list of AD groups that exist in NetVault Backup

Any NetVault Backup administrator can list the AD groups that exist in the NetVault Database.

On the Manage User and Group Accounts page select Groups tab, a list of all the groups added in NetVault Backup Server are displayed.

Deleting an AD group that was added to NetVault Backup

Any NetVault Backup administrator can delete the AD groups that exist in the NetVault Database.

On the Manage User and Group Account page, select the applicable group to remove in Groups tab, and click Delete.
