New features

New features in Plug‑in for Hyper‑V 12.0:

Added support for inclusion and exclusion configuration. (DNMHP-250, DNMHP-297)
•
Added support for policy-based backups. (DNMHP-298)

Enhancements

The following is a list of enhancements implemented in NetVault Backup Plug‑in for Hyper‑V 12.0.

Updated the plug-in to include virtual machine (VM) metadata, such as the name of the host server, number of processors, BIOS settings, and so on, for backups. During restore, the plug-in applies the same settings to the restored VM.

DNMHP-131

Added support for Differential Backups on Windows Server 2016.

DNMHP-295

Added support for backing up and restoring VMs that reside on Windows mount points.

DNMHP-316

Added support for catalog search.
