When trying to migrate to a production environment, the following error appears:
'Failed to lock staging database, error is null'
Solution:
Please, try the following suggestions to check / resolve this message:
1. Go to Maintenance | General | Peoplesoft Connect - Hold down the ctrl key to select staging DB and another psoft db. Do a test connect. The test connection has to pass with an OK message, especially under the "Central Agent Result" column, or the migration will fail.
2. Under Maintenance | General | Peoplesoft Connect, please check very carefully for the database names, their hostname, port numbers, login names and passwords, service name, etc.
Most failures come from here. You can enter the IP address here for the hostname. Sometimes there may be an address resolution issue and the Stat server cannot resolve hostname to IP address.
