WORKAROUND:
- Ensure you are using the latest version of RMAD
- Ensure there are no other processes running on the DC at the time the backup is running
- Try scheduling the backup to run at a different time, especially if there are a number of other collections scheduled to be backed up at the same time
- Ensure you can access the Admin$ share on the DC from the RMAD server using the same account that you have specified to run the backup
- If you have enabled backup agent CPU Throttling in the Computer Collection, ensure it is not set to below 75%
- If the issue occurs when backing up remote DCs over a WAN, and you are storing the backups on the RMAD server, try configuring the Computer Collection to store the backups on the DC or on a network share that is closer to the DC. Copying the backup data over
- Configuring smaller collections may also help to eliminate the error when backing up remote DCs
- Try restarting the backup agent(s)
- Ensure there is sufficient freespace where the backups are being stored (Console Storage, Domain Controller Storage, or both)
STATUS:
Enhancement Request RMADFE-2890 has been tentatively assigned to RMAD 10.2. This ER is meant to make the agent more robust in regards to network communication and RPC calls over WAN links, networks with poor connectivity, or latent networks.
