ODM SharePoint: The source and target have a different template -
说明
When starting a migration of a specific Sharepoint site you get the error "The source and target have a different template". -
原因
Source SharePoint Site template is different than the Target SharePoint Site. -
解决办法
a) Delete the Sharepoint site from the Target tenant so that the On Demand Migration (ODM) tool creates the entire Sharepoint site, including the template used (which will be the same template as is on the source site).
If ODM is creating a fresh target SP site and still failing with the mismatched templates error, please verify the following:- Check the source and target SharePoint template by going to the home page or any site page in the browser, then right-click on empty space, select View Source, and then search for webTemplateConfiguration. It should look for something like: "webTemplate":"64","webTemplateConfiguration":"GROUP#0"
- Validate that webTemplateConfiguration is listed in ODM-supported templates here .
b) Pre-create the SharePoint site in the target making sure the source and target template match. Then match/map the sites in ODM and migrate.
