Archive Manager provides the following message policies:
Export Message
Strip Message
Strip Attachments
Delete Message
You may ask whether it is possible to apply multiple policies in sequence, for example:
Delete attachments after X days
Strip messages after XX days
Delete message stubs after XXX days
A Strip Attachment Policy already removes the attachment from the message. Once an attachment is stripped, a subsequent Strip Message Policy cannot be applied to the same item in the intended manner.
When you use a strip attachment policy, you are also stripping the attachment. Therefore, you cannot use a strip attachment policy in conjunction with a strip message policy.
The best way to accomplish this is to use a Strip Message Policy. This policy will strip both the message and the attachment. Additionally, you can set an aging policy for the stub
