Can I use a Strip Message Policy in Conjunction with a Strip Attachment Policy? (4239045)

There are four types of policies for messages.

• Export Message
• Strip Message
• Strip Attachments
• Delete Message.  

You  may ask if they can delete the attachments after x days, then strip messages after xx days and then delete the stubs after xxx days.

This is not possible by design.

When you use a strip attachment policy, you are also stripping the attachment. Therefore, you cannot use a strip attachment policy in conjunction with a strip message policy.

The best way to accomplish this is to use a Strip Message Policy. This policy will strip both the message and the attachment. Additionally, you can set an aging policy for the stub
