When launching Toad, the following error appears:
'Could not load file or assembly 'ToadControls, Version=3.0.0.736, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c862883b2ae69822' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)'
Please try the following
1. Close out Toad.
2. In C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for SQL Server x.x, find a file called ngenUninstall.bat and run it.
3. In the same directory, find a file called ngenWrapper,exe and run it.
4. Try launching Toad again.
If it still does not work, please open a ticket with Technical support and send us the following files as attachments.
1. Support bundle. Go to Help | Support Bundle.
2. NGen.txt - located in C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for SQL Server x.x.
3. NameCache.xml - located in C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for SQL Server x.x.
4. Toad.exe.config - located in C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for SQL Server x.x.
