When working with Log Reader, it runs through the wizard without errors, but completes without returning any rows. I choose the backup file option and browse to the file. The last window/summary window from the wizard reports no records were read.
The Backup file option in Toad for SQL Server's Log Reader is currently in preview mode only so it will not read records from a log.
Online Transaction Log and Detached Transaction Log should work.
