Is it possible to increase the connection timeout setting in Toad? When attempting to connect to a database, the following error occurs:
"Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding."
SQL Management Studio has an option to increase the connection timeout. SMS default is 15 seconds. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Attempt to connect a 2nd time and it should work.
STATUS:
This enhancement has been included in the latest version of Toad. The option can be found by selecting Tools | Options | Databases | Timeouts. You can download the latest version of Toad for SQL Server at https://support.quest.com/SUPPORT/index?page=downloads. -
