The "Check for updates on startup" in the Options dialog box inside the Tools menu does not work for Toad for SQL Server, Toad for DB2, and Toad for SAP -
Description
The "Check for updates on startup" activates automatic update notifications for new software releases. Even though the option is checked, it does not activate notifications of new available Toad versions. -
Cause
Product Defect: TSS-2600 -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Quest support portal has an option named My Profile including the My Subscription section. Activating the notification in the Quest Support portal will allow you to receive an email notification for new Toad releases.

This issue has been identified as a defect TSS-2600 in Toad for SQL Server, Toad for DB2, and Toad for SAP and is waiting for a fix in future releases.
