I am having issues while exporting Date column to Excel instance. Column definition in the table is a DATE type
Some records are being exported in one and other in different date formats.
The Windows environment is in Slovakia.
WORKAROUND:
None
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future version of Toad for Oracle.
How to reproduce:
Return the data from SELECT * from emp;
Change Toad for Oracle Options: Data Grid | Data >>> Display | Date format to : dd.mm.yyyy
Notice the HIREDATE date format.
The default date format in Excel is controlled by whatever your Windows default "short date" format is set to.
Go to your Windows Control Panel. Select the Regional Language and Display Settings. "Customize" the settings and change your default Short Date settings.
Change the Format to Slovak (Solvakia)
Change the Short Date to ss.MM.yyyy <OK>
Back to the Toad for Oracle do an export to Excel Instance.
You will see that the columns has a mis-matched display between time formats.
