The TOAD code formatter will not format the following code:
SELECT y year , column
, ralph
, oscar
, papa , lima FROM DUAL
It gives the error "[Information] Syntax check (1: 10): Found: 'year' The name of the identifier might conflict with a keyword".
If you change the word 'year' to something else, the formatter will format the code. The code will format if 'YEAR' is the column name, it only refuses if it is used as an alias.
It is good to have the informational message, but TOAD should go ahead and format the code. The use of a keyword as an alias is sometimes required by an application.
