User builds a query in Query Builder using an Outer Join as such:
SELECT ABC.COL1, ABC2.COL1 FROM ABC, ABC2 WHERE (ABC.COL1 = ABC2.COL1(+))
He runs the query to view results and selects the "A" icon from Generated Query tab. Toad rewrites the query as such:
SELECT ABC.COL1, ABC2.COL1 FROM ABC RIGHT OUTER JOIN ABC2 ON (ABC.COL1 = ABC2.COL1)
This query will result in a different result set.
The "RIGHT OUTER JOIN" keyword is not the equivalence of the original query. "LEFT OUTER JOIN" keyword should be used.
WORKAROUND:
None
STATUS:
Waiting for fix to be released in a future version of Toad for Oracle.
