The Unix Job Scheduler in TOAD not retaining SID values on save. This only happens when choosing a host name from the drop-down menu.
Steps to Replicate are as follow:
1. Ensure that the Toad.ini used has exiting host names.
2. Open Toad and select Utilities | Unix Job Scheduler.
3. If any servers are listed in the existing file, then remove all servers and save file.
4. Add a new server with an existing host name from the drop down menu.
5. Add a second server with a new host name.
6. Save the Scheduler file.
7. Exit and open Toad again, run Scheduler.
8. Servers are not listed.
WORKAROUND:
Save the first server with a new host name (a dummy one may have to be used). Then additional servers can be saved with existing or new host names.
STATUS:
Issue fixed in version 9.1. The latest version of Toad for Oracle can be downloaded here.
