Selected Export Utility Wizard from TOAD to export triggers and constraints.
The following error message occured on Oracle 8.1.7 database with Oracle client 8.1.7 on the last step of completing the export process.
EXP-00008: ORACLE error 1406 encountered
ORA-01406: fetched column value was truncated
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully -
Resolution
There is a patch available in the Oracle website for this Oracle 8.1.7 database bug. You will need an Oracle Metalink account to access patch number 1874468.
