Title
Removing highlighted text using spacebar causes Toad to hang. -
Description
Right click table name in schema browser Select generate insert statement Paste into editor Highlight some of the commented out column names in the values portion Press space bar to remove highlighted columns. Toad is now hung . Repeat, but press delete key instead of space bar, TOAD does not hang. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND 1 (recommended)
Use the 'Delete' key instead of Spacebar
WORKAROUND 2
Disable the Auto Replace feature in the Editor i.e.
Go to View | Toad Options | Editor | Auto Replace | uncheck the 'Enabled' box
