How to remove a rule (4811) from the default Rule Set for Code Analysis? (4309680)

I currently have 'Top 20' as my current rule set for Code Analysis. I would like to be able to switch off one of the rules so that it is not flagged in the editor as a rule violation (blue wavy or jagged lines).

e.g. Rule 4811 keeps getting flagged even though I made the recommended changes

How do I turn off rule 4811?

It is not possible to remove a rule from the provided Rule Sets, however you can clone a rule set , remove the rule from the clone and then use the clone as your default.

1. View | Toad Options | Code Analysis | General | Edit Rule Sets
2. Highlight 'Top 20' and click the 'Clone Selected Rule set ' button
3. Give the rule set a title e.g. top_20_amended'
4. Add a comment (optional)
5. On the right hand side uncheck required rule e.g. 4811
6. OK | Close
7. Select the newly created rule set as your 'Default Rule Set' | Apply | OK
8. Close and relaunch Toad

You should no longer be flagged for rule 4811

Rule 4811 invalid and will be removed in Toad 11.1

To remove the Gray wavy or jagged lines for IF Blocks, follow the above steps to remove Rule 4213 as per reported by one customer.
