How do I schedule an upload to FTP daily? (4304177)

I would like to schedule an upload to an FTP site every day. How do I do this using Toad?

RESOLUTION:

1. In Toad go to the menu Utilities | Automation Designer.

2. Select "Create a New App." Assume it is called App1.

3. Select App1 on the left hand side. On the right hand side, select the Utilities tab. Double click on the FTP icon.

4. FTP will be added to the action list below. Right click on it and go to Properties.

5. Enter FTP host and connection settings. Add the files you would like to upload.

6. Test run App1 to make sure it works. Click on "Schedule Selected App" when satisfied.

7. Complete the scheduling wizard to set the days and times for the automation.

Tip 1: At any time press F1 on the keyboard to receive more help on the current window.

Tip 2: You can also schedule externally in a batch file or other utility. The command line to run the app is: "Toad.exe -a App1"
