CLOB / BLOB / LONG data type columns do not show in Schema Browser | Data Tab or Editor | Results (4295139)

User does not see CLOB, BLOB or LONG data type columns of a table when viewing the Data Tab in the Schema Browser. Data results also do not show when querying tables with CLOB / BLOB / LONG data types. It just displays HUGECLOB or WIDEMEMO

1. Go to View menu | Toad Options
2. On the  left side, choose Data Grids | Data
3. On the right side, Check "Preview CLOB and LONG data"
4. On the  left side again, choose Schema Browser | Data and Grids
5. On the right side, Un-check "Don't select BLOB/CLOB fields"
6. Click "Apply" then "OK"
7. Exit Toad and log back to re-test the issue.

If you don't want to permanently change the setting, double-click on the cell to display the contents in a pop-up window.
