Error at the startup of Toad: Cannot create file C:\Program Files\Quest Software\TOAD\TEMPS\PLSQL -
Description
When I start and login to Toad, and after about 3 minutes, I get the following error:
Cannot create file "C:\Program Files\Quest Software\TOAD\TEMPS\PLSQLSUB.TXT". Access is denied.

Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
Ensure that user has Read & Write access to the path displayed in the error OR Read & Write access to 'C:\Program Files\Quest Software' and its sub folders or directories. You might need to ask your Internal IT people to give you this access.
RESOLUTION 2:
Turn off the Auto-Save feature by going to View Menu | Options | Editors | General | 'Save TOAD settings and SQL History every XX minutes. Zero means no AutoSave' | change this setting from the default 3 to 0.
