In previous versions of Toad, capitalization could be set for reserved words and other syntax under Editor Options. However, starting in v12.7 the options for Capitalization Effect setting is not there. How can one set Capitalization Effects in Toad for Oracle 12.7 and after?
In Toad for Oracle 12.7, the Editor has been revamped with some options moved and some taken away.
RESOLUTION:
For Toad for Oracle 12.7 and after:
1. Go to View | Toad Options in the main menu.
2. On the left-hand side of the options window go to Editor | Font and Styling.
3. In the SQL | Styling tab, select Keyword.
5. For the Capitalization effect use the drop-down list to select desired behavior.
For Toad for Oracle 9.6.1 to 12.6:
Use the Language Management tool to customize editor behavior for reserved words.
1. Go to View | Toad Options in the main menu.
2. On the left-hand side of the options window go to Editor | Behavior.
3. Under the Language section, click on the Syntax highlighting button.
4. In the new window, under styles, select Reserved word.
5. For the Capitalization effect use the drop-down list to select desired behavior.
WORKAROUND for All supported versions:
Use the Formatter button to format code to all capitalization.
