Is the latest version of Toad backward compatible with old command lines to run Toad?

Resolution
It is not always the case that newer version of Toad will be backward compatible with previous Toad version commands. For example, in Toad 8.6.1, the command to launch and connect with Toad 8.6.1 is
"C:\...\Toad.EXE" CONNECT=<schema>/<password>@<database>
In Toad 11 the same command is
"C:\...\Toad.EXE" -c <schema>/<password>@<database>
