When I upgrade Toad on a Citrix environment, the connection information and password is passed to other users. This is a security concern.
In a Citrix install of Toad, connection info does not get passed from user to user. There are two possibilities for this issue.
1. A Citrix Install was not done. Log into Citrix as an end user and check to see if User Files folder is copied over into C:\Documents and Settings\<User Files>\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle. If not, you need to re-install and select the Citrix option.
2. The connection info in question was already present in the server install of Toad. Rename the CONNECTIONS.INI and try to log in again with different users to see if the connection info gets passed.
3. If in case a Citrix install was not done, then perform the following: Remove all login entries by the right-click menu option "Remove Selected Entries". Locate the User Files folder path via View | Toad Options | General | User files directory field in Toad. Close Toad and go to that path. Right-click on Connections.ini and ConnectionPwds.ini files and set them as Read-Only files.
Connection information is stored in the connections.ini and connectionpwds.ini files. These are stored in the User Files directory of a Toad install. In Citrix environments these will be kept in their personal user directory.
