Is there a workaround for having UAC enabled for non-admin user?

We are planning to deploy Windows 7. We plan to enable UAC and not give users administrator privileges.

However, in chapter 1 of the "Toad for Oracle 11.0 Installation Guide," it states: "If UAC (user account control) is enabled, you must have
administrator privileges."

Is there any workaround currently available for this issue?

If not, are there plans to enhance the product so this is not a requirement?

 

At this time, there are not any plans to have support non-admin users when UAC is enabled.

If you want to log this as an enhancement request, you can visit the Toad Idea Pond website and log it there. This website allows you to post enhancements you want to see in Toad for Oracle and users can vote on which enhancements they would like to see. Development uses this site to determine what should be added in Toad. If it is already created, you can just vote for it.
