In v14.2, connecting with a 12cR1 client shows 'Invalid release 12.1.0.0.0' error -
Description
When using an Oracle client v12.1.0 when connecting to an Oracle 12cR1 (12.1.0.0.0) database, the following error message appears:
'Invalid release 12.1.0.0.0' (sometimes with different trailing text appended to the release number).
There may also be following errors such as: 'ORA-00942 Table or View does not exist' but with no information about the missing table itself.
