Description
Timestamp datatype columns are not appearing in the 'Data' tab in Toad Schema Browser, but do appear in the 'Columns' Tab.

Cause
Check the Oracle client version against the database version.
If the Oracle client version is earlier than version 9i (e.g. 8.1.7, 8.0.6), this will occur because the 'Timestamp' datatype was introduced in Oracle 9i. -
Resolution
Upgrade the Oracle client, at least to version 9i, or ideally to match the same version as the Database server being connected to.
