After setting the Dock Site for the Data Grid to the 'Right' and then running a query in the Toad Editor, the following error occurs:
Access violation at address 7E429C7F in module 'user32.dll'. Write of address 0013F7E4
Steps to replicate the error:
1. In Toad, right-click any blank area of the Editor and go to Desktop Panels | Configure Desktop Layout.
2. In the Desktop Panels window change the Dock Site to 'Right' for Data Grid only.
3. Click OK.
4. Type a simple query like "SELECT * FROM dual" and run it. It should work without errors.
5. Now, unpin the Data Grid so it auto-hides and then re-run the query and the Access Violation error occurs.
6. Without closing Toad when the error appears, re-run the query and it works, but re-run it a third time the Access Violation error occurs again.
NOTE: The error occurs every other time the query is ran.
