The following error occurs when opening the Editor in Toad:
File Required for Explain Plan Not Found:
C:Documents and Settings<USER_NAME>Application DataQuest SoftwareToad for Oracle9.7User FilesExplainPlanColumnsDefs.XML
RESOLUTION 1:
If Toad was upgraded from a previous version of Toad (v9.x), find the location of the ExplainPlanColumnsDefs.XML file and move it to the following folder:
C:Documents and Settings<USER_NAME>Application DataQuest SoftwareToad for Oracle9.7User Files
Note: USER_NAME is the Windows username currently logged onto.
RESOLUTION 2:
If the file is not found in any location, then reinstall Toad 9.7 in a new folder:
1. Launch the Toad 9.7 Commercial Installer.exe file.
2. During installation leave the default path of C:\Program Files\Quest Software.
3. On the next step of the installation, look at the "Installation Directory:" and change it to - "NEW: C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle 9.7\" from the drop-down list.
4. Continue on with the installation as normal.
5. Launch Toad and enter your License Key and Site Message.
