In Database Browser, the database tree on the left hand side shows a list of old, inactive database that are no longer in the network. Only one database that is current is listed. All other current database are missing. There are no problems connecting to existing databases and the Utilities | TNSName editor and database drop down of the connection window all and only show currently active databases.
The left side tree view is initially created from your tnsnames file and then saved into a file called DatabaseBrowser.tdb in your Toad directory. This file may not have been updated or corrupted.
Reset the DatabaseBrowser.tdb file.
1. Exit out of Toad.
2. Go to the Toad install directory | User Files folder.
3. Find DatabaseBrowser.tdb and rename it.
4. Launch Toad and Database browser to check database tree list. The list should be updated to current databases.
