Cause
Critical files missing error:
Applies to Toad for Oracle versions 16.0 and older.
- Toad installation is corrupt if the files reported do not exist
- Toad is unable to verify the digital signature of files reported if they exist
Required files missing or untrusted error:Applies to Toad for Oracle versions 16.1 and newer.- Files are flagged as not found – Toad installation is corrupt
- Files are flagged as untrusted – Toad is unable to verify the digital signature of key files

Resolution
Resolution for the missing files error:Applies to all versions of Toad for Oracle.- Repair your installation if any of the files reported are not found on disk
Resolution for the untrusted files error:
Applies to Toad for Oracle versions 14.1 and newer, only.- Configure your machine to trust the Quest Software code signing certificate if all files reported are found on disk by either installing the root certificates in the Quest Software code signing and Symantec countersignature chains or configuring Windows to automatically update trusted root certificates when required. The root certificates required to establish trust are attached, below.
