'Invalid Oracle Home' error when connecting with an Oracle Instant Client
When using an Oracle instant client and the Instant Client files are in a folder that's in a \bin subfolder - e.g. C:\instantclient19c\bin and when that folder is also added in the Path variable, Toad doesn't connect to the database, and shows the 'Invalid Oracle Home' error. With the SQL*Plus module of the instant client, it connects ok when in the \bin subfolder.
As soon as you move all the instant client files to C:\instantclient19c , (or even for example C:\instantclient19c\xbin) , and amend the path variable, Toad connects. The issue occurs when specifically a \bin folder contains the instant client files.
