User copies code to be stripped into the SQL editor, selects SQL Editor | Strip Code Statement and nothing happens.
1) Make sure the option "Strip Code Copies To Clipboard", which you can find by selecting View|Options|Editors-SQL\Procedures, is not checked. If it is checked, then when the code is striped Toad automatically saves it to the clipboard and the changes do not get shown in the sql editor.
2) Select View | Options | Editors-SQL | Procedures and make sure that there are options in the Make Code window. By default, the list in the window should be Delphi, Java, C++, Perl, C#, VB. If there is nothing in the window then place the attached templates.xml file in the Toad for Oracle\User Files directory.
3) Make sure that one of the options in the Make Code window list is highlighted. If one is not, then highlight one and hit OK. By default VB should be highlighted.
4) If you have made your own template to display in the Make Code window and it is highlighted, make sure that the syntax in the template is correct.
