In the Schema Browser's Tables tab, attempting to open the Script tab (right hand pane) for a table, Toad seems to hang there for a while with the hourglass SQL mouse icon, then the icon flashes a lot as if the program is working intently. Then an error is displayed:
"Cannot open file "C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files\TempDataOutput!\LEADS_STATUS_SMRY.sql". The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"
Too many insert statements to post in the window may cause Toad to hang or take a very long time to completely post the script.
1. Click the View/Edit Script Options Icon located on the Script Tab.
2. On the Table Options tab, uncheck the "Include Insert Statements" option.
(In v9, Go to the "Tables" tab and uncheck "Insert Statements")
Note: This setting is directly related to the Create Script option window, for example, when you right click over a table on the left hand pane | Create Script. Choosing to include insert statements in this options window will also affect the script tab output.
Enhancement request 247 has been submitted to Development for consideration in future release of Toad for Oracle.
