When I tried a new connection in Toad for Oracle version 17, I got an error “SSH Host is required”. -
Resolution
The error is caused by a Product Defect and is identified as TOR-7840.
Description:
In the login window, click “Create a new Add Login Record”
enter your connection details
click the TEST button
Bug: "SSH Host is required" error is shown.
Workaround: Click the SSH button, then just close the dialog that appears. Then TEST button again works correctly or just fill in the connection details and press the close button.
